Types of Concrete and site Construction

We specialize in all structural concrete construction, from complex shored retaining walls to retrofit concrete beam strengthening. Structural concrete includes: foundations, slabs and mat slabs, caisson and pile foundations, poured in place walls, and retrofit of existing footings/underpinning. We also self perform all types of architectural and site concrete. This includes all flat work (colored, stamped, special finishes like TopCast), poured in place stairs, drainage structures, paver systems, vehicular concrete, bollards and light pole bases, mechanical pads, ADA ramps, underground concrete vault structures with lids, and poured in place countertops.

DJS is also performing installation of pervious concrete, including vehicular and pedestrian paving. We self perform subgrade preparation including installation of subbase materials.

We have crews available to also cover your small asphalt needs. DJS can provide a turnkey site construction proposal.

Estimating

Our estimating department is comprised of highly knowledgeable staff with over 70 years of combined experience. We work with our clients throughout the estimating process to ensure that we are providing the most accurate and competitive budgets we can. It is important to us to thoroughly review each project, including all details no matter how big or small, so that the client can be fully informed about what it will take to achieve their goals and vision.

Project Management

Our project managers continue to grow their knowledge base with every new project. Each project manager at DJS is dedicated to the company promise to provide the highest level of work possible in the most efficient and effective manner. Construction is a team effort that involves many different scopes of work and we understand the value in productive and frequent communication with other trades.

We self perform all of our work, including formwork, placement of concrete, and concrete finishing. DJS has built strong relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors throughout Southern California. These relationships ensure that not only are we able to complete projects per the owners vision, but that the materials and subcontracted services provided are also on par with producing the best work possible.
